03 May Effective today: one time passcode
In an effort to improve our ability to protect you against fraudulent activity, we have made an adjustment to our application process. As of May 3, 2018, TEMPOE will be implementing a one time passcode (OTPC) during the lease application process. A OTPC is a code customers will receive on their cellphone to provide on the application. This code will be used to verify the customer’s phone number and improve TEMPOE’s proficiency to protect against fraud. This additional step adds a couple of seconds to the application process, but will help us better verify your customer’s identity – ultimately allowing us to increase approval rates and approval amounts.
- When your customer enters his/her phone number on the TEMPOE application, a one time passcode will be sent to the number entered on the application.
- A pop up window will appear on the application screen, and it will ask you to enter the passcode that was sent to the entered phone number.
- Ask your customer to enter the passcode in the pop up window and hit continue.
Nothing else has changed with our application process and the minimum customer qualifications remain the same. Because of the nature of this release, there are user experience changes. With that in mind, please make sure you clear their browser cache and restart the browser.
