Today is our first edition of “Thoughts for Thur Today is our first edition of “Thoughts for Thursday” in which our employees share some positive thoughts and experiences they’ve had during this time of staying in and working from home! Today’s featured employee is Jason Griggs! We asked Jason who he's been spending time with while being stuck at home and how the experience has been. “I have shared custody of my 4 daughters. So when they are with me I take advantage of the opportunity to break the monotony and try to interact and spend as much time with them as I can. I also tend to do a lot more laundry when they are with me. Imagine that! Last week my girls made their own homemade greeting cards with positive messages to slide under the doors of all my neighbors in the building. They earned some new pen pals in the process. When my daughters are with their mom, my apartment is a lot quieter and subdued so I have an opportunity to get some alone time to decompress and relax.” Jason has had some saving graces through this. 🚴🏻‍♂️ “Thankfully we can still go outside. I like to bike and to go fishing, weather permitting of course. Hopefully, the weather continues on the upswing so I can also get my kayak out onto the water. 🚣🏻 Even when the weather is bad I'm still able to get outside and enjoy a nice fire on a covered patio, accompanied by a refreshing adult beverage. The outdoors has been my saving grace for sure. I think it's important to maintain the office culture, even when we are working from home and not physically occupying the same space. The TEMPOE/SmartPay culture is about having fun when we're working hard. And that shouldn't change just because we're working where we live. I put a green screen up in my office space so I can have entertaining backgrounds during our conference calls.
